Gold Flower Vase by Michele Volpe Reverse Decoupage on a 5 1/2 inch Glass Vase Gilded with Mica Powder. This vase was made using the technique of reverse decoupage. It’s done by gluing the decoupage paper on the inside of the vase facing out. This gives it a completely different look. How I create this effect is I add a special glue that has to dry overnight before adding the mica powder. I put a generous amount of mica powder in the inside of the vase and give it a good shake and then tap out the excess. The final touch is to use a spray varnish very delicately so as not to disturb the mica powder. The vase is not meant to be used with water, You can use dried or artificial flowers with it. Clean the outside of the vase with a clean dry cloth and you will enjoy many years of use.
