In the stillness of the morning, the Hot Air Balloons slowly rise over the fragrant field of lavender. The sun is just starting to rise and the sky is a gentle assortment of colors. I was drawn to this picture by the juxtaposition of the purple lavender, the sky and the Hot Air Balloons. I can just imagine gently floating over this beautiful field of lavender. Purple is one of my favorite colors and I love the smell of lavender so I just really let myself go and and get into the painting. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed painting it!
