Jellyfish swimming with friends by Michele Volpe Mixed Media Acrylic Painting on a 16X20 Stretched Canvas. Jellyfish have always fascinated me. I enjoy the way they float so blissfully through the water with such effortless grace. I tried to capture that with my Jellyfish and I added some fish friends that I made out of clay and glued foil on them. I did the same thing to parts of the Jellyfish’s tentacles. I grew up in Rhode Island and after a storm, many Jellyfish were washed ashore. I tried putting they back in the bay to revive them. My Jellyfish will live on in my painting to adorn someone’s wall. It will be perfect for anyone who loves the sea and sea creatures, a beach home, beach decor, or has an eye for a pop of color in their home. I added 2 coats of varnish to keep the colors fresh and the foil from fading. The painting should look just like it it does when you open the box ten years from now.
