Northern Lights by Michele Volpe original acrylic painting on a 30″ X 20″ stretched canvas. The Northern Lights have always had a special fascination for me. The way they illuminate the sky and shift and shimmer with different hues and colors is one of nature’s wonders. I tried to capture that in this painting. I chose an artic setting to showcase the Northern Lights. I can imagine a polar bear or a penguin standing there watching the sky transform itself into a light show just for them. It’s on my bucket list to see them. Until then, I’ll just have to paint them. The painting would look great hanging in any home of an adventurer or of someone who has gone to see the Northern Lights. It would be a wonderful way to remember the time that you first saw them. The painting is a standout and will become a conversation piece when you hang it in your home. I hope you enjoy my painting!
