Roses say it all! original acrylic painting by Michele Volpe on a 28 X 20 stretched canvas. I decided to try my hand at painting some abstract roses along with some filler flowers. After much deliberation on blossom placement and color value, I created this composition. I really like how the petals came out. They look like you could touch them and feel their velvety softness. I painted this piece to be a statement piece in a home that is not afraid of color. I imagine it on a wall with little other wall art around it so it can be the grand dame that she is. This painting would be a fabulous piece in anyone’s art collection. This is especially true if you like contemporary floral arrangements. She’s not so bold that she will overwhelm your other art, but rather complement it. I picture this piece being hung in a dining room, living room or entryway. But I will defer to you as to where you think it will look best! I hope you enjoy my painting!
