Description
I painted these hydrangeas and yellow flowers using a new technique. I used a blade and acrylic paint brushes to create texture and depth. I always enjoy painting hydrangeas and I especially enjoyed painting them with this method as I feel it gave them an almost realistic look. The contrast between the yellow, purple and pink lends itself to a nice complement of colors.
My favorite place to see hydrangeas is Martha’s Vineyard. There are gardens galore that feature this beautiful flower! The summer gardens in this special place are all so well planned and a joy to behold. This painting is a tribute to them. The vibrancy of the colors will lend itself to any decor but will look exceptionally well featured in a contemporary home. It will also complement home decor that features flowers. It’s definitely a showpiece and will stand out in your art collection! I hope you enjoy my painting.
